A moment / Momenat

There are some pictures that might not appear or mean much to the world, but for the people in the picture or the photographer it can mean a lot. Maybe there is a smile, a word or an event that happened just before the camera klicks.
I liked this photo. I found it funny and cute how Ada posed while waiting for me.
This picture shows my baby girl feeling big 🙂
Bilo mi je smiješno i simpatično gledati kako Ada pozira dok me čeka.

Tonsillitis / Gnojna angina

In Ada’s kindergarten they have streptococci going around and guess who gets them? ME!!! So for last three days I have been completely k.o lying in the bed with fever. When the penicillin started to work I was so happy and grateful that there antibiotics still working, or rather that there are still bacteria that are not multi-resistant , because imagine what kind of world it will be when no antibiotics work :/

Me feeling sh*t / Ja kad se grozno osjećam

U Adinom vrtiću imaju slučaje sa streptokokama i pogodite ko ih dobije? JA!!!

Émile Zola – The Ladies Paradies / Émile Zola -Ženski Raj

I have gotten a taste for Emile Zola. This is my second book or actually third of Emile Zola – The Ladies Paradise that I have finished and then Adrian decided to read it too (it is never to early to start reading). The first book I read in school but I have forgotten which book it was. The only thing I remember is that he described a dead body so detailed that I felt disgusted back then. Anyone knows which book that might be?

Thorns and communication / Trnje i komunikacija

The whole week Ada has been sick staying at home. I read somewhere that it is normal for a child to have 6-10 colds per year and if every takes a week or two to recover it is months of cold and wake nights I can expect :/
Today, Ada was finally getting better so we went out for a walk and a little play at the playground. She noticed for the first time that there are plants with thorns. She was so fascinated by it that she stopped at every bush to check if they had thorns or not. 🙂
Adrian has slept through the last two nights, which is something I can dream of with Ada. He also started to communicate with very cute sounds and two days ago he started to grab things. He especially likes to grab his moms hair 🙂

Our Sunday / Naša nedjelja

Today I enjoyed a day with husband and kids. During the day we had a walk exploring the area we are living in. When it is freezing cold as today the best is to come indoors from the cold and enjoy a cup of tea. Only thing missing today was an open fire. Maybe something to have in mind for the next apartment/ house we move to 🙂

One of the basis things one starts with when saving money is writing a list of things needed. This is also never to early to start with. Here Ada wrote down all the things we have to buy in the store. The funny thing here is that Ada really remembers most of the things we have to buy when looking at her list 🙂

Matter of perspective / Stvar gledanja

Sometimes you really have to laugh at childrens mentality. Today in the car Ada is telling me : Mama it is beautiful weather today. It is not raining and there are no clouds…Well, I guess it is all a matter of perspective 🙂

Ada´s first sledge / Adine prve sanke

This morning the first snow was falling and it was beautiful. What is winter without snow? Then I realized Ada has no sledge and that is a must, so we made a deal to buy a sledge after kindergarten. First we were off to Hornbach and there was nothing, then to Aldi, Real and finally to Toys ´r´us. All this caring Adrian in  his (heavy) car seat. This was after kindergarten quite a tough deal for Ada, she wanted to sleep but she stayed strong and finally we bought her first sledge. And my little sunshine was sooo happy. I found it so moving and she was soo cute when she looked for a sledge for Adrian. It really warmed my heart 🙂

Wonderful visit / Voljena posjeta

Last week my mother, my sister and her two kids visited us. It was a BIG thing meeting little Adrian! PZ and PA loved it. Especially PA likes the fact that he is not the only boy in the family now…
Ada loves her cousins because they are playing the whole time…making such a mess it is quite impressive.
Having three kids running around is quite a drama. One moment they love each other and next they want to fight each other…and it is never silent. Yesterday, the cousins went back home and today it is so silent at home. For some time that is nice but then I do miss them already and so does Ada.
The whole week we have threatened that the kids won´t get any gifts from Santa if they are not keeping calm and so finally for the new year eve we had THE celebrity visit from Santa Claus. And he brought tons of gifts!
Children loved it, however PZ suspected it is Adas oncle Omar behind the dress 😛
Adrian slept through the Santa Claus visit so he didn´t get as many gifts as the others. I can´t wait for the next year to see childrens face when they meet Santa Claus again 🙂
From this visit I will remember the mornings when children, the first thing they did, ran to the Christmas tree to open up the deco that is filled with candies. It was fun to see their happy faces 🙂
Well Happy New Year Folks, hope next year gets better than last 🙂

Departure / Odlazak

Today, my mother-in-law Suada left us and went back home. She has been here for two months, and I admit if anyone had asked me before if I will manage to be with my mother-in-law for two months I would said no chance!
Fortunately we managed really fine 🙂
I am very lucky that she wanted to come and help me out now with Adrian and Ada. I honestly have no idea how I would have managed it otherwise. My mother is working and she cannot come so I am really happy to have had this tremendous help.
So it proves the old bosnian saying “Gdje djeca nisu bjesna, nije ni kuća tijesna” – translated “where the children are not angry with each other, than also the house is not too small” is true.
And this morning Suada taught me how to make the “Tiger cake” before leaving to the airport. Ada helped of course 🙂Danas je moje svekrva Suada otputovala kući.
I podsjeti me to na našu staru bosansku izreku “gdje djeca nisu bjesna, nije ni kuća tijesna”. Živa je istina…
A za kraj me naučila praviti Tigartortu. Naravno Ada nam je isto pomogla 🙂
