Gnojna angina / Slap in the face

I hate that feeling of expecting something great and instead you get a slap in your face. I expected great time with relatives but Ada got sick… Yesterday evening it all started by Ada being a little bit cranky. She fell asleep at 19h,which is quite unusual for her. I measured Ada´s body temperature to be sure she is ok… and the thermometer showed 39 degrees!! Then the whole Odyssey started trying to get her temperature down. But it simple wasn´t working. During the whole day today Ada was never coming under 38.5 degrees. After a while she refused eating which made me suspect that we have a “throat problem” here. Luckily, we found a doctor in the city and got Ada diagnosed with tonsillitis. Just great. In any case Ada got some antibiotics that will hopefully work in next three days.
In meanwhile I wonder what is really better? Cool her body down to lower the body temperature or just wait? I have read by lowering the fever the agony is just prolonged because the bacteria, viruses are more efficiently fought in 39 degrees than in 37. But when I see Ada suffer I have big problems letting her fight the fever by herself…cool_patch_4

Mrzim onaj osjecaj kad ocekujem nesto dobro i dobijem plesku.

Last day in Istanbul / Posljedni dan u Istanbulu

Looking back at my short trip to Istanbul the last day was to say at least stressful. It started very nice and calm. Our flight was at 19.30h so we had a lot of time… I thought. We packed, and decided to go to the Basilica Cistern because it was close to the hotel. It is 1500 year old cistern that was providing water in bad times. Inside there was also a possibility to get a picture dressed as sultans. It was a mess to get five girls to look in the camera in the same time. During the whole photo session my daughter was screeeeaming. The cistern I found quite nice but it was not so much to see, so I think it is easy to get disappointed. I heard that there are concerts given there and I can imagine that it is magic. For mobility impaired people or buggies you need help because there are no elevators and lots of stairs.
And for the stressful part of the day we almost missed the flight because of traffic jam…

Istanbul day 4/ Istanbul 4. dan

4th day in Istanbul was a wonderful day so we decided to skip the museums and visit Asia instead. We went with the metro to Üsküdar station and walked towards the Maiden´s tower but decided not to enter it. I was feeling that it is too complicated with buggy, later of course I regretted it but I will for sure go to Istanbul again so I can see it next time. However, technical seen the metro is incredible. It is fast up til 100km / h, clean ( I said it already before) and it goes 13.6 km UNDER the water!! The deepest point is 60.46m and it took in average 120.000 passengers per day during 2014, and there is a goal that it will take 1.5 million passengers per day.  Fascinating 🙂 My niece insisted to go back to Europe with the boat so we enjoyed a short trip with the boat also.

Isli smo metrom do Üsküdar stanice i prosetali smo do Djevojacke kule. Fascinantno 🙂

In the evening we took a walk in the Gülhan Park.

Navecer smo prosetali kroz Gülhane Park.

Istanbul Day 3 / Istanbul 3.dan

Finally the internet started working again (for now), so here are some pics from Istanbul.

The 3rd day we got a little bit confused, or rather we were all a little bit unconcentrated. It happens with 2 children around. Somehow we missed that the archeological museum and the Topkapi Palace are two separate museums. We saw a lot of interesting things in the archeological museum. The one piece I liked most was the small marriage contract engraved in clay (I think it was clay). The only negative thing was that the museum wasn´t made for buggies or mobility impaired people. There are no elevators nor ramps and many stairs. Unfortunately, we couldn´t visit the Topkapi Palace after a certain little person refused to go to more museums 😛

The Tiled Pavilion Museum or The Tiled Kiosk is the pavilion of the Topkapi Palace. It was made in 1472 by Sultan Mehmed II, as a pleasure palace or kiosk. It has wonderful blue mosaic entrance, and Beautiful collection of islamic  art indoors. I also found the colorful windows stunning.

After the visits in the museum we went to the Great Bazaar. Somewhere we read that 90 million people pass through per year! Imagine 90 000 000! Inside the bazaar they had so much gold that my eyes wanted to jump out. There where so many stands with different things. After walk through the bazaar we had enough and walked out… and then we saw that the bazaar just continued in an everlasting stand. There where tons of dresses, cloths, curtains, shoes, bags and so on. Once you buy something you always feel cheated because if you walk a couple of meters there will always be another stand that is cheaper. Of course half the fun buying things is the bargain 🙂

I naravno pola cari kad kupujes je cijenkanje 🙂

Haos / Chaos

I have so many Pictures from Istanbul that I wanted to upload and what happens? My router just dies!! Meaning I have no house phone nor internet. For me, that´s an absolute disaster.

Last night we arrived to Tuzla. I hoped that I will at least have internet …but no. The (lack of ) speed is 33kb/sec!!!  Fabuolous. I cannot even open a page :/ One shouldn´t complain though, the weather was fantastic today and at least I could surf a little bit via the Wlan in a café.  At least there is some use of them 🙂

Arrived in Munich / Stigla u Minhen

I love Stockholm Airport just because they have these buggies you can borrow without having to call the company and ask for a buggy 3 weeks in advance. Very practical 🙂 Luckily my father helped us out with the luggage.
20150312_094710

Before boarding the plane I managed to take a photo of my daughter where it looks like her eye squints :P.

20150312_102130

In the air I had a screaming monster in my knee for the first hour, but afterwards I had a cute (=sleeping) little baby
20150312_121403

And finally Ada and me arrived at the Munich airport..:D  (it is written in arabic because there are a lot of veeery rich arabic tourists coming)

20150312_132635

First step / Prvi korak

And so it happened 🙂 A small step for mankind, a giant leap for Ada. She took her first two steps and fell done on her face quite ungraciously. She was tough and continued practising to stand up and to “walk”. It is amazing how fast she is developing. I cannot imagine if human kind would have developed further in that speed where would our society be.
20150309_145843

Here, my sister is trying to “read” a book. / Sestra pokusava citati knjigu20150308_185815

First time / Prvi put

Today my little  sunshine decided she is strong enough to stand alone.  I was caught by surprised and I got so proud 🙂 Unfortunately I didn’t catch her facial  expression the moment she was standing. She was so happy,  proud and surprised. My little fighter 🙂

20150306_145705

It is quite interesting how the view of life gets concentrated to the baby when it gets sick. She is now the center of my universe more than usually. Ada is having fever for the last two days due to the vaccines she got. I suspect she also got the cold so her little body got many viruses to fight at once. I know this is nothing special, especially when comparing to serious diseases, but I feel sad when I see her suffer, and she sleeps bad at nights. Like for example last night. She woke up at 3.00h and wanted to play!!! So we played until 5.30h. Since, I believe in evolution I really wonder what kind of evolutionary advantage this getting up at 3.00h and play and then sleep at 15h, has for the homo sapiens species… Someone explain it to me…

Vakcinisanje / Vaccination

Na slici: male boginjemeaslesin the picture: measles

Today, my little sunshine was vaccinated. She had to take three vaccines. The first vaccine she got in her arm and she didn´t even cry or react. She was just surprised and wondered what has happened. The next two shots where horror …for me :/ She was crying so sad that my heart was breaking. I was trying to comfort myself by thinking how good it is that we at all have this possibility to get vaccinated against these diseases… 15th. of February a message came out that there are increased number of cases of measles in Germany and Bosnia so if you or your children aren´t vaccinated then please take care of it.
