My daughter has lately come into some weird phase. She wakes up in the middle of the night, and wants to play. Then she sleeps until 9.30h and then again arount 16h and finally goes to bed at 23h!!! being drop dead tired. Sleeping at 23h one would think she will sleep long in the morning but nope. At 5.00h she wakes up full of energy. At 9.00h she is drop dead tired so she sleeps until 11h. Then she plays and falls asleep around 17.40h and wakes up at 21h. Please tell me it won´t last :/
Do 9h.

Positive things in Bosnia – natural creams / Pozitivne stvari u Bosni – prirodne kreme
Already in Munich here is this last post about positive things in Bosnia ( I didn´t have the time to write until now).
In Bosnia everyone knows every possible receipt for all possible healthy teas, homemade facial masks, oils and so one. Therefore one can find relatively cheap natural cosmetics that are of very good quality. From the ones that I have tested I have developed some favorites. Dr. Pascha has a soap made of cinnamon which has an absolutely fantastic scent. When I have it I use it instead of shower gel because the skin doesn´t get dry.
Once a week or more often if I feel for it I use Ingea´s anti cellulites peppermint body peeling. My skin is very dry and after the peeling my body is re-hydrated AND I scent lovely I must say 😀 Another product from Ingea that I like is the face serum made of immortelle. I like the scent and it feels like a pure energy boost for the skin
This time I was in Bosnia I found out about Pharmamed. I bought their anti-wrinkle cream (hope dies last :P) and normal hydrant cream that are not creamy when put on the face AND they cost like 1/10 of the common well known creams which I do not find to any better. The only difference is the well-known houses have more luxurious package. Another good cream they provide is the almond cream for babies. I find it great and my daughter obviously too because she always wants to eat it :/
In general I stick to my principles to buy local made products be it food or anything else for that matter so it would be of great interest to hear if there are any local made things that you prefer or suggest to buy when visiting your country?
Impulsive spending / Skup ceif
Today is the D-day for my little experiment! I have put a jar for my (and my husbands) expenses that are just impulsive bought stuff. When we buy something impulsive and unnecessary we have to put that amount of money in the jar. If we do not have the money at the moment we will write the sum on a paper (put it in the jar) and add the money later.
The reason I do this is that I have noticed that I lately buy a lot of unnecessary things spontaneously and therefore I decided to make it more obvious for me what sum it is about and that is best when I see the money in the jar. Things I buy are chocolates, cappuccino/ teas in cafes, cakes ( every day since months I have eaten a cake) and so on all the small things that turn into quite a sum in the end. I have decided to take more control of my (our) economy. One cannot save on the big sums like the rent or the food, but at least these small unnecessary things one can change and avoid buying through better planning (like avoiding to go to supermarket when hungry). Let the experiment begin 😀
Danas je D-dan za moj mali eksperiment. Stavila sam teglicu za moje (i muzeve) bezvezne impulsivne troskov. Kad nesto potrosimo impulsivno ili nezdravo tu sumu stavljamo u teglu.
Back in Munich / Nazad u Minhen
Travelling from Bosnia always gets me frustrated at the borders of Bosnia/Croatia and Croatia/ Slovenia. It is like people on the border are working slow on purpose thus making long queues on purpose. I get the feeling that it is their way of showing superior to Bosnians citizen, and the Bosnians on the other hand show inferior. I hate that feeling people project but there is nothing really I can do about it. Everyone has to fight or his own rights. Right?
This time it wasn´t these borders that made me angry. This time it was Germany´s border. Four tracks full of cars at the highway. All pulled to one track at the highway. It was last weekend after the long holidays so there where for sure a couple of hundred of cars forced into one track. First, we thought there had been an accident. Luckily, it wasn´t. There was the German border police standing at the side of the highway pointing with some spotlights into the cars. Seriously? They were looking at people in the car. What was that about? Stopping the refugees of entering the borders or what? I do not need that kind of pseudo control where citizens believe they are safe because a person points a lamp in my face. Can´t be that anyone is that stupid to believe that? If we and other EU-citizens truly want safety for us, the only way that will happen is to stop selling weapons to unstable (and other) countries and also stop interacting in the politics of these countries!

Priority list / Prioritetlista
One thing that came up as a revelation for me when I read the blog of Förvaringsdrottningen was that I actually never wrote a “to-do” list for things I should do or things that get me annoyed in my apartment. Considering the time we spend in the apartment and how annoying things can be it is maybe a great place to start organizing our life at home first. Since, we are moving to a new city and a bigger apartment I have great opportunity for changing things and here are few things that I will have very high up on my priority list
- Have a place where my “to-do” list is visible!
- clear my and Ada´s closet
- clear my book shelf (get rid of books that I find boring)
- clear out our pantry
- clear out stuff in general that are just around with no function
- clear out my bags
- Pack for moving -> New city, new apartment
- Move in fast. With that I mean that I do not want to spend 2 years looking for furniture or looking at my windows having no curtains, because of lack of proper drill or something like that. If I need to I´ll rather get professional help for furnishing the apartment (well depends on the price )
p.s Loved this to do list that found this list on the internet (I do not remember the source)
- Raščistiti Adinu i moju garderobu
Cute dress
We got a surprise visit from Adas “big uncle” that brought such a cute dress. I tried to take a pic of my little daughter Ada in the dress but it was impossible. 😀
Dress / Haljina: NiNiA
Positive things in Bosnia – Art / Pozitivne stvari u Bosni- Umjetnost
A couple of years ago I visited my relatives in San Francisco where I experienced the joy of seeing the paintings of Mersad Berber and Midhat Jelkic Bosner. These two and Salim Ljuma have become my favorite three artists from Bosnia. I am no reviewer (nor expert) of arts I either like the paintings or not. Berber and Bosner I like because I find peace in the picture. They are beautiful and I like that they use the traditional dresses and patterns of Bosnia. Salim on the other hand is different. I find his paintings more interesting. When you first look at Salims painting you see the obvious. However, after a while you notice there are hidden things in the picture. I feel sometimes that I look at the picture and the picture looks back at me. I love it!
P.s. who is your favorite painter?
Art by Salim Ljuma
Yesterday, my husband, his brother and I went to see Star Wars The force awakens. The ticket costed 2 Euro !! Can you imagine paying 2 Euro for going to watch a 3D movie in cinema?? I was thrilled. For me, that is definitely a positive thing to do when visiting Bosnia. The movies in Bosnia are all in original language with a subtitle so even tourists can enjoy the movies. The Star war movie itself threw me back in the childhood when I watched the first Star wars movie. Can´t say the story was good but it was fun to watch it in 3D…and the popcorn was great 😛 Sinoc smo muz, njegov brat i ja otisli u kino da gledamo Star Wars.
Last night Ada was in a party mood. She woke up around 1.30h and wanted to sing “Djiha djiha and Humpty Dumpty”. The party lasted until around 3.00h. My plan to go to Sarajevo today was crushed because of me being k.o after the party night, the ever falling snow AND the ice rain.
Despite the weather I managed to meet a friend of a friend and made a new friend. I find it so typical (positive) Bosnian. The thing that if you know a person A that knows the person B you meet person B and if you are lucky you make new friends. Probably the reason Bosnians don´t mind meeting more or less complete strangers is that the Bosnian people where scattered all over the world during the last war, not even knowing where the closest family where. This tactic of meeting a friends friend connected many families and friends. Personally, I find the gift and joy of socializing with other people one of the happiest features among Bosnians.
Uprkos lošem vremenu sam uspijela sresti prijateljicinu prijateljicu i upoznala novo prijateljsvo. (U drugim državama to zovu kontakt mrežom).
Jewelry:
One thing I love when I come to Tuzla is to visit the jewelry Korzo. They make the jewelry themselves and they have an unique collection. I like their work that is a combination of middle east jewelry that is quite kitschy and western that is too simple for me. This ring is a new years gift from my husband and my daughter loved it 😀
Zlatni Nakit:
