Crikvenica

Since, Ensar was supposed to have two weeks off from work we decided to go to Crikvenica despite not being here in high season.
I was a little bit sceptical to going there in the beginning but the weather turned out to be fabulous making me wonder why there are so few tourists here.
Actually, I do not wonder I know (that would be another post though) but I can say this much, the weather during the day is around 23-25 degrees, sunshine and a little bit windy from time to time. It is absolutely perfect for taking walks, drinking coffee, wine and eating out. I find it perfect with kids also, because the sun is not too strong and one doesn’t have to keep the kids indoors from 12 to 15h (usually longer) as in high season in the summer.
Unfortunately, despite being here Adrian is not recovering and has quite a bad cough and fever. Thus, tomorrow we are going to the specialist clinic of respiratory diseases located here in Crikvenica to see that his cold is not going down to the lungs.
Today, while Ensar was showering Adrian and I was looking for his clothes Ada took a knife and wanted to cut the cucumber in pieces ending by cutting herself in the hand. That was her first cut and she got so scared she cried and cried and it was hard time to calm her down. Finally, after three stories she fell asleep.

2017 Crikvenica

Our first stop in our vacation happened to be Crikvenica. We didn’t plan a long stay but we stayed for almost a week. Problem is, when I see my nephew and niece play with my kids I melt. I really really miss them and I love to see how Ada is playing with them. My mother was with us so it was full house and chaos but I guess that is always the case with kids.
It was also really nice to see an old childhood friend that I haven’t met for years.
We really loved to be in Crikvenica but after a couple of days we headed further to Pag.

On the radio it is said that the heat will reach its peak today. That’s great news! Sitting at the beach I feel I am melting. It is so hot! The water is around 28 degrees. The wind feels like a hot hairdryer in a sauna. If I could I would stay in the water the whole day 🙂 Greetings from Pag!Danas su na radiju izjavili da će danas biti vrhunac toplog vremena.

End of vacation / Zavrsetak odmora

After almost 2.5 months travelling and visiting family Ensar came to Pag on Saturday morning to pick Ada and me up. We decided to leave directly in the evening, because half Europe is returning to their homes after vacations. On Monday Ensar is working so we didn’t want to stress back to manage to be back in time. Everything went fine until Karawanke tunnel. We literally sat there almost the whole night from 1.30h to 5.30h before we could come through the tunnel and then again we got stuck at the border. We were actually stuck in a traffic jam from Karawanke to Stuttgart. Starting around 20h on Saturday evening we arrived at 19h in Karlsruhe. We were so drop dead tired that I need another holiday again. Next time I will definitely check up the flights instead…
Before leaving we took a short walk in the city.
We left this… /  Ostavili smo ovo…
Prije nego sto smo krenuli prosetali smo gradom.

and got this… / a dobili ovo…

Early morning / Rano jutro

This morning Ada woke up way too early. Yesterday we went to the city for an ice cream. Ada liked it so much that at 5.00h this morning it was time to go to the city again for an ice cream. Even if the morning was beautiful I just feel that it would have been more beautiful had I slept a little bit longer :p 20160819_20173720160819_193105 20160819_19300520160820_064141Ovog jutra se Ada prerano probudila.

Greetings from Pag / Pozdrav sa Paga

Last week of the vacation before Ada starts the kindergarten I decided to come back to Pag so that Ada could spend the week with her grandmother and cousin. Until know we have great luck with the weather and Ada loves to swim around so I feel this was a good decision.

Bad but great weather / Lose ali super vrijeme

Today, I woke up to a rather stormy weather. I thought I will get sad about missed opportunity of sunbathing but au contraire. It turned out I needed a day off the beach and a day connected to the internet. I had some bills to deal with and I felt I wanted to sit more intense and write down many things that are keeping rolling in my mind. My brain starts to spin at light speed sometimes and then writing or reading are the best things that cools my brain down. And with this view it ain´t too bad to just relax such a day 😀bad weatherDanas, sam se probudila uz prilicno nevrijeme.

City of Pag / Grad Pag

Yesterday we reached our next destination Pag. On the way we took the ferry tl the Island of Pag which was highly appreciated by Ada. First thing we did  when arriving to the city of Pag was to take a refreshing bath in the sea. That must be one of the greatest things one can do after a road trip a really hot summerday. (P.s isn’t Ensars hair just too wonderful?)20160731_170556Jucer smo stigli na nasu slijedecu destinaciju Pag.

Crikvenica

On the way to Pag, we managed to arrive to Crikvenica before Ada had her burst out and wanted to get out of the car. So we decided to stay here for the night.
The first thing she said was that she wants to see the sea and then when saw it she immediately jumped into the water to (and we did arrive quite late around 20.30-21.00 h) . She really loves water and has  wonderful laugh when she plays. I get overflown by happiness when I watch her being so childishly happy while playing in the water.20160726_195713_resized 20160726_200603_resized Na putu prema Pagu uspijeli smo doci do Crikvenice kad je Ada dobila mali ispad energije i nije vise htjela sjediti u autu.

Which export makes your country the most money/ Koji eksporti donose tvojoj zemlji najvise deviza

Which export makes your country the most money … and makes it most vulnerable at the same time. For example, if someone wants to destabilize Russia, then it is a great strategy to introduce cheap oil (in this case with fracking) and destroy their finances … wait a sec… that´s exactly what is happening now…as it was in early 90´s also… Makes me wonder though what was the real reason for the war in Ex-Yugoslavia. Here is what CIA thinks about Ex-Yu countries…

U tabeli vidite sta CIA misli o bivsim drzavama Jugoslavije…
