Stay above the rivers / Stanovanje iznad rijeka

These houses do not yet exist but are planned to be built in 2017 in north Sweden. The project called Sápmi Jokk at Vindel river was started from the entrepreneur Christer Kvick, and these houses were designed by the architect Björn Ingridsson. They are supposed to function as a hotel with each house having two to four beds. I find the idea fantastic and immediately I was thinking of  all the rivers in Bosnia and how cool that would look like to walk above the river… especially if the floor would be transparent 😀  600x857(ByMinScale_TopLeft_Transparent_True) 700x457(ByMinScale_TopLeft_Transparent_True) brohus_puffOve kuce jos uvijek nisu napravljene ali su planirane do 2017 u sjevernoj Svedskoj.

Priority list / Prioritetlista

One thing that came up as a revelation for me when I read the blog of Förvaringsdrottningen was that I actually never wrote a “to-do” list for things I should do or things that get me annoyed in my apartment. Considering the time we spend in the apartment and how annoying things can be it is maybe a great place to start organizing our life at home first. Since, we are moving to a new city and a bigger apartment I have great opportunity for changing things and here are few things that I will have very high up on my priority list

  1. Have a place where my “to-do” list is visible!
  2. clear my and Ada´s closet
  3. clear my book shelf (get rid of books that I find boring)
  4. clear out our pantry
  5. clear out stuff in general that are just around with no function
  6. clear out my bags
  7. Pack for moving -> New city, new apartment
  8. Move in fast. With that I mean that I do not want to spend 2 years looking for furniture or looking at my windows having no curtains, because of lack of proper drill or something like that. If I need to I´ll rather get professional help for furnishing the apartment (well depends on the price )

to do list 2p.s Loved this to do list that found this list on the internet (I do not remember the source) to do list

  2. Raščistiti Adinu i moju garderobu
  3. Raščistiti knjige (riješiti se dosadnih knjiga)
  4. Špajzu rastribiti

Positive things in Bosnia – Art / Pozitivne stvari u Bosni- Umjetnost

A couple of years ago I visited my relatives in San Francisco where I experienced the joy of seeing the paintings of Mersad Berber and Midhat Jelkic Bosner. These two and Salim Ljuma have become my favorite three artists from Bosnia. I am no reviewer (nor expert) of arts I either like the paintings or not. Berber and Bosner I like because I find peace in the picture. They are beautiful and I like that they use the traditional dresses and patterns of Bosnia. Salim on the other hand is different. I find his paintings more interesting. When you first look at Salims painting you see the obvious. However, after a while you notice there are hidden things in the picture. I feel sometimes that I look at the picture and the picture looks back at me. I love it!
P.s. who is your favorite painter?

To mi malo tesko pada kad imam toliki izbor. Koja je vama najljepsa? Imate li vi neke savjete sto se tice renoviranja kupatila? Na sta treba najvise misliti? Slike su sve uzete sa OVE stranice.

Tadam tadam tadam tadaaa (that are the drums playing) … I finally decided to renovate the bathroom in Solna, Sweden! I already started to get inspired by different bathrooms (old post).  It takes like 100 years to find all the things one needs for the bathroom. The nicest things to look at though are the faucets. Even the prices are quite ok (<100 Euro, some are more). The only thing is that I do not know if there is some special standard for Sweden, but I guess it should do. There are such beautiful ones but it is difficult to decide for which one to go. Which one do you like the most? Do you have any advice when renovating a bathroom? What is most critical part? The pictures are taken from THIS page.

Bauhaus

We have to renovate the bathroom, so off I went to Bauhaus to see what tiles there are at all. I imagined some fabulous marrakesh style bathroom with lots of colors (tipical girly) AND I was so motivated. But as the time passed by I got more and more confused and turned more into the black and white tiled bathroom (which fits my husband more). In the end I got bored and said “”bye Bauhaus I go home now”.

At home I was looking for some inspiration at Hemnet and I found some quite nice 😀

I need the simplest bathtube….

Skladistenje nakita

Pic shows: Bride was covered in gold for the wedding in India. An Indian sweet maker made sure his daughter was the golden girl at her upcoming wedding by covering her in gold jewellery worth more than 400,000 GBP. The man who was not named nevertheless came under fire after it was revealed he needed a police guard to protect him and his daughter as they turned up covered in gold for the wedding in India's southern Andhra Pradesh state. Police spokesman Sandeep Kumar in Tirupati, a holy city known for its famous temple of Lord Vishnu, confirmed that the man and his daughter, who he declined to name, had worn gold jewellery throughout the ceremony. He said: "It is not a crime to wear such a large amount of gold, but there could have been a crime once people heard about it. We just wanted to make sure there were no problems in advance." The move was widely condemned on social media sites once the images from a mobile phone was shared, with people branding it both humiliating and shocking. Indians, one of the world's largest consumers of gold, spend huge amounts in buying gold jewellery for family weddings, and recently several wealthy Indians have been seen sporting shirts made out of solid gold thread. This father of the bride reportedly made his millions from selling confectionery in India. (ends)

Irregular choice

Today, despite beautiful weather I feel a little bit uninspired. My arms hurt from lifting Ada and I just wait for the weekend when Ensar can help me out with her. Whenever I am uninspired I like looking at different things like arts, interior design, travels and so on. Now I just saw some very cool shoes that are more arts than shoes. I love them. Pictures are taken from here

A little inspiration / Malo inspiracije

I am always fascinated by people that manage to keep order of small things at home and even more of people making things beautiful. In the first picture a glas jar is spruced up with colors and nice holders. I wouldn´t be surprised if my friend Lejla makes this at home 😛
The garage for small cars is just too cute, and one can even color the toilet rolls to get the colors fit.
And finally the cables. I´m not  a fan of them. They make the room look so untidy. However, now I got inspiration of these pictures so maybe this is something that I will do in the future. I just have to start collecting toilet rolls 😀

I ovi vjecni kablovi. Ugrgrgh.
