#5 – Stuart Weitzman Retro Rose Pumps ($1 Million)

These pair of shoes have a price tag of over $1 million adn are from Stuart Weitzman. These shoes were created by Weitzman to look like they were made in the 1940’s, hence the name and use of roses made of diamonds on top of the toes.

The roses weren’t made of just a couple of diamonds as it actually took 1,800 Kwiat diamonds to create the pair. The gold color gives them a distinct look, which features another 400 Kwiat diamonds on the shoes besides the roses themselves. There’s not a pair of shoes from the 1940’s that are worth this much, but Weitzman did a fantastic job of making these shoes look like a blast from the past.

‘Ove sandale kostaju preko 1 milion dolara i pravljene su od Stuart Weitzman-a. Napravljene su tako da izgledaju kao da su iz 1940-ih godina, zbog toga se zovu i zbog toga imaju ruze napravljene od dijamanata na vrh prstiju.

Za ruze je trebalo 1800 Kwiat diamanata da ih naprave. Zlatnu boju im daje poseban izgled, a tome pripomazu 400 Kwiat dijamanata dodatno pokraj ruze. Iako ne postoje cipele/ sandale iz 40ih koje su toliko vrijedne Weitzman je uspio da napravi sandale koje izgledaju bombasticne iz proslost.

 

#4 – Stuart Weitzman Platinum Guild Stilettos ($1.09 Million)

These platinum stilettos are one of the rare shoes on this list that are functional in more than one way. The straps on these shoes are made of platinum fabric.  Just like Weitzman does with most of his shoes, there are total of 464 Kwiat diamonds included in the design.The diamonds are removable so the shoes can be worn to occasions beyond the Academy Awards.

#3 – Stuart Weitzman Ruby Stilettos ($1.6 Million)

Stuart Weitzman created this incredibly expensive pair of stilettos. The insoles of the shoes were made with red satin and include over 600 rubies. These rubies, like many Weitzman creations, were set in platinum and the shoes weigh nearly a pound each.

Who was the actress that got to wear the stilettos at the Academy Awards that year? Unfortunately, that title belonged to no one as Weitzman decided to pull the shoes from the awards show because the designers that year did not want the occasion to be flashy. America had just gone into the war on terrorism and the mood was a bit somber. The shoes didn’t come back for the next year’s show, either, which seems like a waste of $1.6 million.

Ove nevjerovatne skupe sandale je Stuart Weitzman kreirao. Ulosci su od crvenog satena ukljucujuci i preko 600 rubina. Rubini su stavljeni u platinu, tako da svaka stikla vaze skoro pola kile. Kako su ameri u to vrijeme zapoceli rat protiv terorizma, tako ih niko nije nosio na Academy Awards, jer su svi bili malo potisceni (tmurni) i bilo im je malo neukusno da nose tako skupe sandale … logicno 😛 (a nije bilo skupo izbombardirati jednu drzavu :P). Tako ni slijedece godine niko nije imao tu “cast” da obuce ove sandale , tako da ih na kraju niko nije obukao. Malo je reci da su bacene pare…

These shoes top the Weitzman collection in terms of value. The laces are made purely of Kwiat diamonds, racking the cost up to over $1 million from the laces alone. Even without the laces, the shoes would still find themselves easily in the top 10 most expensive shoes.

If you are wondering why these are referred to as Cinderella slippers, it’s because they are a decked out version of the slippers that the title character wore in the movie. Weitzman is a big fan of iconic movie shoes.

This design by the famed Harry Winston is a replica of Dorothy’s ruby slippers, but the amount of jewels and effort that went into this pair is second to none. Winston took a total of two months to make these shoes just the way he wanted them.

So why are these ruby slippers $3 million when the real deal is worth considerably less? That’s because there are actual rubies on these slippers, with more than 4,500 in total. If that doesn’t impress you, there are also 50 diamonds to raise the price up a little more. Harry Winston Ruby Slippers were a tribute to “The Wizard of Oz” on the 50th anniversary of the film’s release in 1989.
