Yesterday, Ada and I arrived in Istanbul. At the airport there were no buggies (neither had they buggies in Munich) to borrow, which resulted in me carrying Ada for literally 2 hrs. Talk about arm exercise. There was an ocean of people waiting for the passport control. Despite having the most efficient passport control which I have ever seen, it took us around half an hour until it was our turn. Unfortunately, I couldn´t take any pictures of this sea of people, holding Ada. I felt really stuck there with a child in my arms (that wants to walk) , my luggage and a packed buggy. In the end, I was so tired I wanted to cry but was lucky to find a very nice portier that helped us out from the airport. The next chock was the taxi. I got an heart attack there. There was no seat for Ada, the seatbealt for me wasn´t working and the guy (knowing no english) was listening to some Turkish folklore and driving like crazy. I was soo relieved when I finally arrived to the hotel (in one piece)… In the evening we went for a dinner in Hatay restaurant close to the hotel and ate some specialty (I forgot the name) that looked quite cool. It was put on fire and there was some dough that was removed before eating the gulasch like thing.
Sinoc smo Ada i ja stigle u Istanbul.
