2017 Crikvenica

Our first stop in our vacation happened to be Crikvenica. We didn’t plan a long stay but we stayed for almost a week. Problem is, when I see my nephew and niece play with my kids I melt. I really really miss them and I love to see how Ada is playing with them. My mother was with us so it was full house and chaos but I guess that is always the case with kids.
It was also really nice to see an old childhood friend that I haven’t met for years.
We really loved to be in Crikvenica but after a couple of days we headed further to Pag.

Prvo stajanje kad smo krenuli na odmor je bilo u Crikvenici. Nismo planirali ostati dugo, ali se produzilo i ostali smo skoro sedmicu. Problem je, sto kad vidim sestrinu djecu kako se igraju sa mojom ja se topim. Bas mi nedostaju i volim gledati kad se Adom igraju. Moja mama je isto bila tu tako da je bila puna kuca i dosta haosa sto je obicno sa toliko djece u pokretu. Bilo je isto jako lijepo vidjeti jednu staru prijateljicu iz djetinjstva koju nisam par godina vidjela. Nakon Crikvenice smo otisli na Pag.

On the radio it is said that the heat will reach its peak today.That’s great news! Sitting at the beach I feel I am melting. It is so hot! The water is around 28 degrees. The wind feels like a hot hairdryer in a sauna. If I could I would stay in the water the whole day 🙂 Greetings from Pag!Danas su na radiju izjavili da će danas biti vrhunac toplog vremena. To je super! Na plaži sam i topim se. U vodi je oko 28 stepeni. Na plaži kad puhne vjetar isti je osjećaj kao kad puše vrel fen u sauni.Kad bih mogla ostala bih čitav dan u vodi 🙂 pozdrav sa Paga!9

I have packed the whole day and as I finished I found this video. Stunning how people come up with such ideas. Some of them I will test next time I pack. If everything goes fine tomorrow we are heading towards Balkan…:)

Danas sam čitav dan pakovala i kad sam sve završila pronađem ovaj video. Divim se ljudima koji dođu na ovakve ideje što olakšavaju život. Neke ideje ću probati slijedeći put kad budem pakovala. A sutra ako sve bude kako treba idemo na Balkan… 🙂

Airberlin

A couple of days before departure I always have a feeling of expectation. How will the flight be ( I don’t like flying), how will the stay be, how will the weather be. Mentally I am tuned in on the trip.
When I got an email from the company that my flight has been cancelled and they “offer” a new trip for the same money…I got so angry. I had payed extra to spend as little time as possible at the most boring airport I have seen- Berlin Tegel. This with two children of which one cannot walk. The offer I got is to spend 5 hrs there? Seriously? Angry I called Travelstart that told me to call airberlin. So I did.
The girl I talked to was so nice. She booked me a flight at Friday (fr. Stuttgart but still). I cooled down and got happy I can go to Sweden.
I have to say I got surprised of how important it is with good customer service… Had it been differently, I would have never flied with airberlin again. Now, I hope I will get these tasty little airberlin chocolate hearts when finishing the trip 🙂

Par dana prije nekog putovanja uvijek dobijem osjećaj očekivanja. Kako će let proći ( ne volim letiti), kako će biti na mjestu, kakvo će biti vrijeme itd. Mentalno sam skroz usmjerena na to putovanje, tako da kad sam dobila mail da je otkazan let dobila sam fras.
Ponuđena sam putovanje gdje moram pet sati čekati na Berlinskom aerodromu. Sa dvoje male djece nema šanse da hoću tu torturu da prođem. Nisam džabe platila više da to ne moram proći. Ljuta sam nazvala Travelstart koji su mi rekli da zovnem Airberlin. I tako sam i uradila.
Cura s kojom sam pričala je bila tako fina. Zakazala mi je let iz Stuttgarta u petak umjesto četvrtka. Jes da je iz Stuttgarta ali lakše to nego biti na aerodromu sama. Bila sam sretna da mogu ići u Švedsku.
Bila sam malo zaćuđena koliko je bitna lijepa riječ i customer service (korisnićka podrška(?). Da je bilo drugačije nikad više ne bih letjela sa Airberlin, a sada se nadam onim njihovim slatkim čokoladicama u obliku srca 🙂

Munich visit / Posjeta u Minhenu

Last week Ensar had a workshop in Munich so we decided to go to Munich altogether. I thought I will manage to visit all my friends but it was impossible. So I am sorry for the ones I didn’t manage to meet and I hope to meet you soon. I will come to Munich as soon as I can. Here are some pictures from the week.
The most funny thing is though that Adrians first tooth came. Today his second tooth came. He is getting big very fast now 🙂

Prošle sedmice je Ensar imao kurs u Minhenu tako da smo odlučili da svi zajedno odemo u Minhen. Mislila sam da ću sve prijatelje sresti međutim nije bilo moguće. Žao mi je za one što nisam mogla sresti ali se nadam da ćemo se sresti uskoro jer ću doći u Minhen što prije mognem.

A usput je Adrianu prvi zubić izašao dok smo bili u Minhenu. Danas mu je drugi zub probio desno. Polako mi postaje velik 🙂

Friends visiting / Prijatelji u posjeti

Last Thursday to Sunday we got visit from our very good friends Suada and Đenan with their kids. The weather was great so we spent the whole Friday in Karlsruhe city center. We went to Schloss Karlsruhe and its beautiful botanical garden. Ada stayed at home from kindergarten to spend time with her old friends.
On Saturday we went to Strasbourg. I love it. I could stroll the streets for hours. This time we mostly ran after the kids but still the ambient was cute. One thing I will remember from this trip was the whole day fight between the children of who can stand at the standing board of the buggy. Funny how one remembers things like that.

Prošlog četvrtka smo imali dragu posjetu iz Minhena. Suada i Đenan sa djecom su došli za vikend. Vrijeme je bilo prekrasno tako da smo čitav petak u Karlsruhe gradu proveli. Išli smo do palače u gradu i u divnu botaničku baštu. Ada nije htjela ići u vrtić nego je htjela ostati kod kuće i igrati se sa svojim starim prijateljima.
U subotu smo otišli u divni grad Strasbourg. Mogla big tamo satima se šetkati po oins malim uličicama. Ovaj put smo doduše najviše trčali za djecom ali haj bilo je lijepo. Jedna stvar koja će mi ostati u sjećanju od ovog putovanja je da su se djeca čitavo vrijeme svađala/diskutovala ko će od njih stojati na dječijim kolicima. Smiješno kako neke stvari ostanu u sjećanju….

1. Task – Finish a photo book/ 1.i zadatak – završiti fotoalbum

I became motivated to become more efficient after reading first page of Eat that frog :P. Well not more efficient but rather start a task and finish off some things that are taking ages to do, for example photo books.
I am planning since 2 years to make a photo book for Ada´s first year, than second…but but… With this speed she will turn out 3 and still not have a first year book.
Further my wish is to make photo books of our visits in Istanbul, St. Petersburg, Sweden, Bosnia, Iceland, Strasbourg and so on.
I have just pushed it in front of me because I know it takes such a loooooong time and these programs one is doing them on are a mess taking ages. There are so many features they can improve to make it more user friendly.
Well in any case I started with THE city weekend trip. Istanbul!

Wonderful and it gives me even energy to look at these old pictures and I am almost done after having worked on it for days. Yippiee 😀 istanbul1 istanbul2 istanbul3 Nakon čitanja “Eat that frog”- knjige postala sam motivisana da postanem eficijentnija. Ili bolje reći ne eficijentnija nego da uopšte nešto započnem i uradim od stvari koje mi se ne daju. Jedna od tih stvari je napraviti Adin foto album od prve i druge godine. Planiram to već 2 godine i ovim tempom napuniće i 3 godine a neće imati fotoalbum ni od prve godine.
Dalje mi je želja da napravim fotoalbume od mjesta što sam posjetila. Istanbul, St. Petersburg, Švedsku, Bosnu, Island, Štrasburg itd.
Čitavo vrijeme sam taj zadatak ispred sebe gurala jer mi se jednostavno ne da maltretirati sa onim programima. (Toliko stvari mogu popraviti na programu da olakšaju korisnicima da bih knjigu mogla napisati…)
Uglavnom počela sam sa NAJ vikend trip u moj apsolutni favorit grad. Istanbul !!!
Fantastičan je i daje mi nove energije kad gledam stare slike što me podsjete na naše predivno putovanje. I najbolje je to što sam, nakon nekoliko dana rada, skoro gotova. Jippiee 😀

Lightshow at the castle / Šou svjetla na palači

For some time I was planning to go to the light show at the castle (Badisches Landesmuseum) in Karlsruhe. It starts at 20h and ends around 00.15h. However, we happened to be in the garden of the castle waiting for Ensar to come and pick us up and he was quite late so when he finally arrived we thought we stay and watch a bit of it until Ada gets tired.
It was magical!!
I love light shows in general so I could sit and watch for hours. To have this idea what to show, which music, which effects it is all such a beautiful science.
I cordly recommend to watch this show and the best is that the entrance is free! 20160923_200422 20160923_200434 20160923_200527 Neko vrijeme već planiram da odem na šou svijetlosti na palači (Badski Državni Muzej) u Karlsruhe. Počinje u 20h i traje do 00.15 h. Ada i ja smo čekale Ensara da dođe po nas ali je dosta kasnio tako da kad je napokon došao (a Ada je bila tip top budna) odlučili smo da ostanemo i pogledamo barem dio šoa.
Bilo je magično. Inače volim šouove svjetlosti i mogla bih ih satima sjediti i gledati. Samo ta ideja kako isplanirati sve, koju muziku, koji efekat. Meni je to čitava nauka. Definitivno za preporučiti a još najbolje u svemu tome je da je džabe.

Weekend in Strasbourg / Vikend u Strasburgu

I booked a hotel in Strasbourg as a birthday gift to Ensar. The hotel I choose is Graffalgar hotel and it was very cool because every room was designed by a different artist. We had one called Monsta, and the room was designed with wolves. The hotel was great. It was clean and not far from the old center.
Za rodjendan Ensar je dobio putovanje u Strasburg. Bukirala sam jedan jako cool hotel koji se zove Graffalgar i dosta je blizu centra. Interesantno je sto je svaka soba u hotelu dizajnirana od nekog drugog umjetnika. Nasa se soba zvala Monsta, a u sobi su bili vukovi po zidovima. Sobe su bile ciste i dorucak je meni bio dobar.

Strasbourg old town was beautiful. It had beautiful old buildings, cafées, shops and restaurants. These old towns are made so beautiful that thousands of tourists are coming just to see it. Today´s architect should maybe consider beauty also when making new quarters of same looking cage buildings that no one will want too see in 50 years.
Stari dio grada u Strasburgu je prelijep. Ima lijepe stare zgrade, kafic, prodavnicic i restorane. Ovi stari gradovi su tako lijepo napravljeni da na hiljade turista dolaze da ih vide. Danasnji arhitekti bi mozda trebali i ljepotu uzeti u obzir kad prave zgrade da ne prave samo kvartove istih, kao kavez izgledajucih, zgrada koje niko nece htjeti vidjeti za 50 godina.

With child it is different to travel because it is not really like I can take Ada to museums (I would just run after her and would not see anything). Still I love to go with her because she gets so fascinated of other things then we grown ups.
We decided to take the sightseeing train, that she loved (at least a while), she also loved one of Europe’s if not even worlds oldest carousels and the boat tour was also highly appreciated.
Putovati sa djetetom je malo drugacije nego kad sam ides. Nije bas da mogu Adu po muzejima voditi. Samo bih za njom trcala i nista ne bih vidjela. Ali volim sa njom putovati jer postane fascinirana sasvim drugim stvarima nego odrasli.
Odlucili smo ici na kratki krug sa vozicem, Adi se (barem neko vrijeme) pravo svidjelo. Adi se isto svidio ringispil, koji je jedan od najstariji (ako ne i najstariji) u Evropi ili cak u svijetu. A i voznja sa brodom nam se svima pravo dopala.

The bridge you see in the picture has a dark history. In former times criminals, especially the ones who had hurt (killed, raped, abused and so on) children and women, were put in an iron cage and than thrown into the water.
Most na slici ima tamnu istoriju. U davnim vremenima su kriminalce, pogotovo one koji su zene i djecu ubijali, silovali, maltretirali itd. stavljali u zeljezni kavez, kojeg su onda bacili u vodu.

Here are some of the things that I really liked and I am sure I will go back to Strasbourg for, at least, a tea.
Ovdje je par stvari sto mi se pravo dopalo i sigurna sam da cu se opet vratiti u Strasburg, ako nista barem na caj.

Strasbourg Next / Strasbourg slijedeci

As I wrote previously, it is a little bit difficult to buy a gift for Ensar. I was then thinking “What is the best thing one can do and never regret”? And the answer is of course TRAVEL! So I booked a hotel in Strasbourg and hope we will have a wonderful weekend 😀

Kao sto sam prije napisala tesko je kupiti neki poklon Ensaru. Tako da sam kontala “sta je najbolja stvar koju mozes uraditi a nikad se ne pokajes”? I odgovori je naravno PUTOVATI! Tako da sam bukirala hotel u Strasburgu i nadam se da cemo provesti jedan super vikend tamo. 😀
